JOB PURPOSE

 The Fleet Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Fleet Manager in all aspects related to the management and maintenance of the organization’s fleet of vehicles. This includes but is not limited to vehicle scheduling, maintenance coordination, fuel management, and record-keeping.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

  • Vehicle Scheduling: Assist in coordinating the scheduling and allocation of vehicles based on operational requirements.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate with maintenance staff or external service providers to ensure timely servicing and repairs of vehicles.
  • Fuel Management: Monitor fuel consumption, maintain fueling records, and ensure that vehicles are adequately fueled for operational needs.
  • Inventory Management: Keep track of vehicle parts, supplies, and equipment; assist in inventory replenishment as needed.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, repairs, inspections, and other relevant documentation.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all vehicles meet legal and regulatory requirements, including licensing, insurance, and safety standards.
  • Reporting: Generate reports on fleet utilization, maintenance costs, fuel consumption, and other relevant metrics as required.
