PATH in Ethiopia is currently implementing various high impact projects with the aim of saving and improving the lives of the most vulnerable and underserved women and children in the country. Currently, PATH is looking for an intern who will assist the training coordinator in the roll out of Immunization in Practice (IIP) training in Afar, Amhara, Benishangul Gumuz, Oromia, Somali and Sidama regions. The Assistant Training Coordinator – Intern will report to the Training Coordinator and will based in Addis Ababa.

Specific duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist the training coordinator in coordination and management of each training sessions

  • Support the training coordinator in identifying training participants and training sites.

  • Plan and supervise implementation of IIP training in selected Woredas.

  • Ensure distribution of training materials to training sites a head of training dates

  • Help in ensuring each training session is conducted as per the standard set and based on the training guide.

  • Oversee the  training quality through daily monitoring and post training session review.

  • Support preparation of  training sessions and overall training reports.

  • Document lesson learned, challenges and recommendations for improvement.

  • And any other activity as requested by the supervisor

 

Required experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health, nursing and/or other relevant field with 0 year work experience.

  • Proven ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with government and partners organizations and local communities.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team, including cross-cultural teams.

  • Experience in using Microsoft offices (power point, outlook, excel and word)

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and knowing local language is mandatory.

  • Ability to travel to Woredas and health facilities, estimated to be about 80%.
