Background

In July 2022, the African Union launched the African Union Girls and Youth Monetary and Financial Inclusion Initiative (WYFEI) 2030. WYFEI is overseen by the Girls, Gender, and Youth Directorate (WGYD). WYFEI 2030 and is operationalized by a partnership framework comprising 3 clusters – Monetary Inclusion, Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Growth and Quotas. These clusters are communities of motion that comprise an open community of individuals with complementary expertise from completely different organizations collectively delivering, main and coordinating continental efforts in direction of ladies and youth monetary and financial inclusion.

The coordinator will lead the interim WYFEI secretariat to arrange a programming framework with precedence actions aligned to AU WYFEI 2030 initiative.

Key tasks

As a member of the WYFEI Secretariat, the coordinator will collaborate with the AUC Girls, Gender, and Youth Directorate workers to implement the next duties:
