SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

As a Purchase Executive you will Manage and execute operational purchasing tasks as delegated by the Purchasing Manager in line with Group Purchasing policies, principles, guidelines, and procedures. This role is based in Adama, Adama Industrial Park and reports to the Supply Chain Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • ​Identify and plan the requirement for designated Indirect and Raw material categories based on close dialogue with relevant user departments.
  •  Source, select, and approve suppliers for designated Indirect Material categories in close cooperation with relevant user departments (including supplier audits when relevant)
  • Support user departments in ensuring optimal Indirect and raw material specifications are in place.
  • Ensure the best possible agreements for designated Indirect Material categories, according to the purchasing objectives, by following the Tactical Purchasing Process and utilizing relevant contract formats (including frame agreements, etc.)
  • Implement and follow up global or regional agreements as and when relevant for the company.
  • Place and follow up orders in Matrix based on agreements/contracts when relevant
  • Execute invoice control according to company guidelines
  • Implement the Category Management Concept for selected Indirect Material categories
  • Report on agreed on KPIs to Purchasing Manager

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree  
  •  2 – 4 years of relevant experience in purchasing in a manufacturing industry
