Novel Optical Fibre for utility in course of management, analysis and health monitoring of excessive worth composites

We’re actively looking for a dynamic and self-motivated researcher to work on the event of a revolutionary new kind of optical fibre. 

This research is a part of a considerable £2.2M multi-institutional research grant funded by EPSRC, with a main goal to create tailor-made optical fibre, particularly for the appliance of situation monitoring.

Becoming a member of our vibrant research workforce at Southampton (Chris Holmes, Martynas Beresna, Timothy Lee, Bruno Moog, Pawel Maniewski), candidates will give attention to silica-based photonics, leveraging cutting-edge research amenities on the Zepler Institute Cleanrooms and Nationwide Infrastructure Laboratory. This publish is held within the Mechanical Engineering division, with shut collaboration with the Optoelectronics Analysis Centre.
