The Student Experience Team are seeking two Student Money Advisors to join our Student Money Advice Team. Both are full time positions, but one is a permanent role, and the other will be employed on a fixed term contract until April 2025.
You’ll be working within the MySurrey Hive, a one-stop shop for all non-academic student enquiries, ensuring that they have a memorable and quality student experience at Surrey.
Our Student Money Advisors provide financial support and advice to our students (UK and International; undergraduate and postgraduate), throughout their student lifecycle. Areas of responsibility include offering information, advice and guidance around different areas of money support and student life, including strong cross working with other teams to support students: https://money.surrey.ac.uk/
The post-holder will contribute to providing excellent student support services, aiding the recruitment, retention and progression of all students, and ensuring high levels of student satisfaction.
About you
You should be confident in your use of Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams with the ability to learn other internal IT systems. Organisation and customer service skills are key to this role, as is the ability to advise students in a professional, calm and friendly manner.
You will be able to multi-task and deliver to deadlines in a fast paced and high-pressured environment, and will work well individually and as part of a close team, regularly liaising with many other student support services across the University.
